The St. Michael Fire Department Explorer Post is affiliated with the Viking Council of the Boy Scouts of America. The Explorer Division is made up of St. Michael area boys and girls ages 15 to 20, who have an interest in fire and emergency medical services. The purpose of the Explorer Division is to develop, train, and prepare interested young people for a career in full-time, paid-on-call, or volunteer firefighting and emergency medical services.

The Explorers meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Anyone interested in the program can e-mail the St. Michael Fire Department or contact Katie at 763-497-7288.
